Welcome to fatbrowser.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the fatbrowser website at https://fatbrowser.com ("Website"), the fatbrowser browser extension ("Extension"), and related services. By using our Website, Extension, or services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of fatbrowser

fatbrowser is a browser extension and web dashboard that tracks browsing focus patterns — such as focus streaks, context switches, and feed avoidance — to help users understand and improve their digital habits.

2. Accounts

You need an account to use the dashboard and sync extension data. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. One account per person.

3. The Extension

The Extension runs in your browser and collects aggregated focus metrics (focus score, focus time, distraction count, feeds avoided). It does not collect URLs, page content, screenshots, or keystrokes. Only daily summary data is sent to your account.

4. Plans and Billing

fatbrowser offers three plans: Free ($0/month), Pro ($0.99/month), and Team ($1.99/month per member). Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. You can cancel at any time from the Billing page. After cancellation, you retain access to paid features until the end of your billing period, then revert to Free.

5. Refunds

If you are unsatisfied with a paid plan, contact us within 7 days of your first payment for a full refund.

6. Team Plan

Team plan administrators can view aggregate team focus data (team averages, total feeds avoided). They cannot view individual members' browsing data, focus scores, or personal metrics. Members can leave a team at any time.

7. Acceptable Use

Do not use fatbrowser to:
- Reverse-engineer or extract data from the Extension beyond its intended use
- Share your account credentials with others
- Attempt to access other users' data

8. User Data and Privacy

We collect your email address and payment information (processed by Stripe). The Extension collects aggregated focus metrics only. For full details, see our Privacy Policy at https://fatbrowser.com/privacy-policy.

9. Data Ownership

Your focus data belongs to you. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting support.

10. Service Availability

We aim to keep fatbrowser available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update or modify features at any time.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time.

12. Limitation of Liability

fatbrowser is provided "as is." We are not liable for decisions made based on focus data, lost productivity, or any indirect damages arising from use of the service.

13. Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of fatbrowser after changes constitutes acceptance.
